Maha Shivratri, one of the most important festivals dedicated to Lord Shiva, was celebrated with tremendous enthusiasm on Wednesday, February 26. To mark the occasion, actor Anil Kapoor hosted a special puja at his residence in Mumbai. The event was no less than a grand affair as the who’s who of showbiz arrived to take the blessings of the deity. Among all, Urmila Matondkar made a special appearance at the gathering.
In a video shared on Instagram, the Rangeela actress was seen striking a pose with her friend and Bollywood producer Bijal Mehta. As it moves forward, we see the actress posing solo and entering the Kapoors’ house. Urmila also waved at the shutterbugs stationed at the location.
She looked gorgeous in an all-white traditional floral Indian outfit which she teamed with a matching dupatta. As for the hair, the actress left her tresses open in curls and let them cascade down her shoulders.
Apart from her, other celebs who graced the Puja ceremony at Anil Kapoor’s residence include Rani Mukerji, Padmini Kolhapure and Shilpa Shetty among others.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Urmila, with her distinct screen presence and impressive performances, not only ruled the Hindi film industry but also left her mark across various regional film industries including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Marathi.
She has appeared in several big-budget films such as Chamatkar, Aa Gale Lag Jaa, Ek Haseena Thi, Bhoot, Rangeela, Judaai, Mere Sapno Ki Rani, Satya, Janam Samjha Karo, Hum Tumpe Marte Hain, Kunwara, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Lajja, Om Jai Jagdish, Pinjar and others.
Her last on-screen appearance was in the 2018 film Blackmail wherein she was seen in a special appearance. In 2022, she announced her comeback project, a thriller web series titled Tiwari, in which she will be seen performing some gritty action sequences.
Directed by Saurabh Varma and produced by Content Engineers, the series is set in a small town and has an emotional mother-daughter story at the core of it. The official streaming date of the series has not yet been announced by the makers.
