Karisma Kapoor recreated her look from the iconic 90s film Hum Saath Saath Hai on the sets of Indian Idol 15. The Bollywood diva, on Instagram, shared some glimpses, leaving her fans brimming with joy.
In the stunning video, Karisma recreated her character Sapna, donning a vibrant yellow cotton flared skirt adorned with intricate details paired with a red full-sleeved blouse and a matching yellow dupatta. A few pieces of jewellery and a neatly braided hairdo accentuated the simplicity of her look, which is reminiscent of the beloved 1999 family drama.
The clip featured some behind-the-scenes moments from the sets of Indian Idol 15. As it played further, the 50-year-old actress, with her unmatched grace and infectious energy, could be seen grooving to the popular song, Mhare Hiwda Mein Nache Mor. She also recreated the iconic bus scene from the movie and even shared a playful moment with the director, Sooraj Barjatya.
In the caption, Karisma wrote, “Sapna mode on, specially for #IndianIdol and Sooraj ji. Watch this Sunday at 8.30 pm on @sonytvofficial #HumSaathSaathHain.” Her post immediately caught the attention of social media users, with fans reminiscing about the film that has now become a cult favourite.
One of her fans said, “Karishma mam, you have refreshed old memories. Make a remake of such a move once again. You and your character are very good.” A person called the actress their “Childhood crush.”

The special episode, which will air on Sony TV on Sunday, February 9, is set to celebrate the ‘Greatest Hits of Rajshri Films’ and will feature Hum Saath Saath Hain’s filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, Karisma Kapoor and Mohnish Bahl as special guests. During the episode, the trio shared some anecdotes from their film, which also featured Tabu, Salman Khan, Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam Kothari, Reema Lagoo, Alok Nath, Shakti Kapoor, and Satish Shah.
