The ELLE List 2025 event in Mumbai last night was a celebration of grandeur and style, with several Bollywood stars in attendance. However, it was Babil Khan, the son of late actor Irrfan Khan, who truly stole the spotlight. Sporting a sleek all-black indo-western ensemble, Babil was spotted engaging in a fun conversation with the paparazzi at the star-studded gala.
In the viral clip, Babil Khan is seen striking poses for the paparazzi when one photographer humorously says, “Bhai aapke liye Nalasopara se aaye hain (We came here for you from Nalasopara),” leaving the actor in fits of laughter. As the video continues, more photographers call for his attention, prompting Babil to ask, “Nalasopara se kaun aaya hai,” playfully trying to give priority to that photographer’s camera.
Listening to this, another one replied, “Bhai hum Jharkhand se aaye hain (Brother we came from Jharkhand)” which left everyone, including the actor, laughing. Fans and admirers were quick to share their reactions to the viral clip. An Instagram user wrote, “Looking like his father.” Another one wrote, “Superb.”
Apart from him, other celebs who attended the ELLE List 2025 event include Taapsee Pannu, Tamannaah Bhatia, Karisma Kapoor, Tahira Kashyap, Khushi Kapoor, Shalin Bhanot, Ashish Chanchlani and Shilpa Shetty Kundra.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Babil made his acting debut with the 2022 psychological drama film Qala, which was released on Netflix. Helmed by Anvita Dutt, it also featured Triptii Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee in the lead roles.
He was also a part of the coming-of-age drama film Friday Night Plan and the web series The Railway Men. Recently, several reports claimed that the actor might play a significant role in Govinda’s son Yashvardhan Ahuja’s untitled debut romantic drama film. It will be directed by the National Award-Winning filmmaker Sai Rajesh.
A source close to the development had previously informed Filmfare that the producers were looking for a more established face for another pivotal role in the film, which led to Babil Khan joining the cast. With his previous performances, the actor’s presence is expected to add significant depth to the character.
