BLACKPINK’s Jennie is currently gearing up for the release of her new single Love Hangover, while also attending high-profile fashion events. Recently, she stole the spotlight at the Chanel 2025 show in Paris with a striking ensemble. Her outfit featured layers of blue feathers and a flowing cape, all cinched with a long black bow. While her international fans were enamoured with the bold look, it received mixed feedback from her South Korean followers. Some admired her for daring to wear something so different, while others felt it didn’t quite align with her usual style.
The standout feature of Jennie’s outfit was the feathery top, which she paired with a long cape and a black bow. She wore formal black pants and blue heels. To complete the look, the K-pop sensation included a thin belly chain with Chanel’s iconic logo and four rings on her fingers, along with blue nail polish.

According to reports from The Qoo, a segment of Jennie’s South Korean fans expressed disappointment with her outfit at the Chanel 2025 show. Some viewers commented that the ensemble didn’t look flattering, suggesting it would have looked better if the pieces were buttoned up. Others felt that while Jennie was undeniably beautiful, the revealing style didn’t suit her. A few fans even went as far as to describe the outfit as awkward or shabby, sharing mixed reactions to the daring look.
Jennie, who is a brand ambassador for Chanel, has had a long-standing collaboration with the luxury fashion house, dating back to when the legendary Karl Lagerfeld was still alive. In a past interview with Bazaar, she shared how meaningful it was for her to converse with Karl and wear the clothes he designed. Reflecting on those moments, the singer expressed feeling both lucky and proud to have had the opportunity to spend time with the iconic designer.
Talking about the criticism, she said, “What can I do? If Korean people think it’s wrong, I’ve got to make up for it. It’s like, I get why you guys are upset. It’s cultural, it’s history. It’s time. And I can’t go against time.”
Meanwhile, Jennie’s Love Hangover is scheduled to release on January 31.
