Vineet Kumar Singh says Shah Rukh Khan’s home Mannat symbolizes courage and hope
Actor Vineet Kumar Singh, who was recently seen in Vicky Kaushal-Rashmika Mandanna starrer Chhaava, talked about what Shah Rukh Khan’s residence Mannat means to him. He said that SRK’s house symbolizes hope and courage for many who come to the city, and aspire to make a mark. He also shared that he often sits outside Mannat when he is feeling low, and it gives him strength and hope.
In a conversation with Just Too Filmy, Vineet Kumar Singh said, “Mannat sirf ek ghar nahi hai, Mannat hum jaison ki himmat hai. Mannat ek aisa pata hai jo batata hai ki iss shahar mein aapka ek makaan ho sakta hai. Mannat is baat ka pramaan hai jo unn bachchon ko, un sapne dekhne wali aankhon ko, ek haunsla deta hai ki sapne ka haath mazbuti se pakadke rakhna. Ye shahar jaadui shahar hai. Na jaane kab, kaha, kaise kaun mil jaaye aur aapki gaadi chal pade. Aur is shhar mein aapka bhi 2 kamra ho. (Mannat isn’t just a house, Mannat is courage for people like us. Mannat is a place that tells you that you can have a home in this city. Mannat is the proof that gives dreamers the courage to hold on tightly to their dreams. It’s a magical city. You never know when, where, or how someone will come along and your ride will begin. And in this city, even you can have a two-room house).”
He further added that many times when he is feeling low, he goes and sits outside Mannat. He sips on tea, and just sits there, watching Shah Rukh’s home. “Ye makaan nahi, ye himmat hai. Toh jaake bas aise feel karta hu aur fir chup chaap bas chala aata hu ek hausle ka tukda leke. (This isn’t just a house, it’s courage. I just sit there, feel it, and then quietly leave with a piece of hope in my heart),” he said.
Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic home, Mannat, is a much-loved landmark at the Bandra Bandstand area in Mumbai, drawing crowds of fans eager to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood superstar.
