A student of Integrated Master’s (Political Science) at the University of Hyderabad, Lucky Mirani, who represented Telangana, stood third in the fourth National Goalball Championship held in Gonda district of Maharashtra.
The competitions, organised by Para Goalball Sport Association (Maharashtra), were held from December 25 to 28, 2024.
Goalball is a sport played by athletes who are blind or vision impaired. The player has to throw a ball past the opponents and into their net to score a point. A total of 17 teams from across the country participated in the championship.
