Recently, Fadnavis recently praised Kaushal’s efforts and the film’s makers for not distorting the facts of history. He said, “I am happy that a very good movie has been made on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. While I have yet to watch it, I have heard from people that this film has been made without distorting history.”

The CM further said that Maharashtra had already removed the entertainment tax, adding, “We will see what best we can do to promote this film and make it available to as many people as possible.”

Prior to that, Mumbai Dabbawala Association requested Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to declare the film tax-free in Maharashtra. “Our ancestors were warriors in the army of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and fought alongside him on the battlefield. For us, both Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj are revered figures,” said Subhash Talekar, president of the Mumbai Dabbawala Association.
