Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar) president G.K. Vasan on Friday (February 14, 2025) urged the Tamil Nadu government to ensure that grievances of the public pertaining to the Revenue Department were resolved without any delay.
In a statement, Mr. Vasan said many people were visiting the offices of Village Administrative Officers, Tahsildars, Revenue Divisional Officers, and District Revenue Officers across the State for their grievances related to patta, chitta, and various other issues. They have raised concerns that their grievances were not redressed for several years, he said.
The Revenue Department officials have also flagged work pressure, Mr. Vasan said, and sought the intervention of the State government to ensure the smooth functioning of the department to ensure that grievances of the public are settled at the earliest.
