Nandamuri Balakrishna’s action-packed entertainer Daaku Maharaaj was a massive theatrical hit after its release on January 12, 2025. The film made its digital debut on Netflix on February 21, sparking rumours that scenes featuring actress Urvashi Rautela had been removed from the OTT version.

Speculation grew after Netflix released an announcement poster featuring the lead cast but noticeably omitting Urvashi. This led to assumptions that her portions, including the song Dabidi Dabidi, had been excluded. However, News18 Showsha streamed the film on Netflix and confirmed that the OTT version remains identical to the theatrical cut.

Urvashi’s introduction scene, where she is seen practicing yoga, is still intact. Additionally, the much-discussed Dabidi Dabidi song, featuring Balakrishna and Urvashi, is very much a part of the Netflix version. This puts an end to the speculation surrounding her alleged removal from the film.

Daaku Maharaaj features Nandamuri Balakrishna in a powerful role as an officer who, alongside his wife, takes a stand against injustice. The narrative follows his transformation into a fearless bandit known as Daaku Maharaaj, as he fights against an oppressive and influential family to bring justice to the people.

Apart from Balakrishna, the film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Rishi, Chandini Chowdary, Urvashi Rautela, and Pradeep Rawat in key roles. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the film’s technical crew includes music composer Thaman, cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan, and editors Ruben and Niranjan Devaramane.

Released during Sankranthi 2025, Daaku Maharaaj received a strong response from both critics and audiences.

Meanwhile, Nandamuri Balakrishna is already preparing for his next big release, Akhanda 2, directed by Boyapati Srinu. The sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Akhanda has generated massive buzz, with fans eagerly awaiting Balakrishna’s return in yet another high-energy action spectacle.
