Urvashi Rautela often finds herself at the centre of controversy as clips from her interviews go viral on social media platforms. The actress isn’t afraid to speak her mind and is known for her candour. However, she also lands up in trouble when her comments don’t sit right with netizens. She recently reacted to being called ‘Beauty With No Brains’.

Speaking to Instant Bollywood about the tag, she said, “Isme kya hai na… humare jo desh ke Pradhan Mantri bhi hain, Shri Narendra Modi ji, mere sabse zyada favourite superstars Shah Rukh Khan aur Salman Khan – toh log jo hain voh toh unko bhi nahi bakshte. Toh aap hi bataiye ki phir isme kya kiya jaaye?”

Urvashi Rautela hit the headlines last week after she faced flak for her comments about Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s attack. While condemning the attack, the actress shifted the conversation to discussing expensive gifts that her parents had given her after the success of her film ‘Daaku Maharaaj’. She flaunted her diamond-studded Rolex and other jewellery, which many found tone-deaf and insensitive. She then apologized on Instagram, but later deleted the post. Now, in a recent interview, Urvashi explained that she was caught off guard and was unaware of the full details of the attack on Saif Ali Khan.

While speaking with Filmfare, Urvashi Rautela said that the question about Saif Ali Khan caught her off guard because the attack happened at 4 am, and she had an interview the next morning while she was still processing the news. She said that she kept bringing up her film Daaku Maharaaj as the interviews were lined up to celebrate the success of her film. She also admitted that the excitement about her parents’ gifts caused her to go off-topic and that it was a moment of misplaced enthusiasm rather than an attempt to ‘show off’.
