Urvashi Rautela took to her Instagram handle on Sunday, January 26, to reveal that her mother has been hospitalised. She shared a picture in which she was seen hugging her mother, as the latter lay on the hospital bed. Even though the actress did not share the reason for her mother’s hospitalisation, she urged everyone to pray for her. “PL PRAY FOR MY MOTHER #MeeraRautela 🙏🏻,” Urvashi wrote.
Urvashi Rautela was recently also in the news as she faced backlash for her comments about the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan. While condemning the attack, the actress shifted the conversation to discussing expensive gifts that her parents had given her after the success of her film ‘Daaku Maharaaj’. She flaunted her diamond-studded Rolex and other jewellery. This left netizens disappointed, who then called her insensitive.
However, in a recent interview, Urvashi talked about the incident. She claimed that she was caught off guard and was unaware of the full details of the attack on Saif Ali Khan.
“I think I should have been way more careful with the way I answered. I have to admit that I should have answered it more carefully. Also, the incident happened at 4 am (Saif’s attack), and very next day my interviews happened at 8 am. So, I was completely kind of clueless. All I remember is that when I was waking up someone told me, he got hurt. I don’t know the intensity of how he got hurt. I wasn’t aware of the intensity of what all has happened with him,” she said.
Urvashi further mentioned that she kept bringing up her film Daaku Maharaaj as the interviews were lined up to celebrate the success of her film. She also admitted that the excitement about her parents’ gifts caused her to go off-topic, and that it was a moment of misplaced enthusiasm rather than an attempt to ‘show-off’.
