
Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi stands by the middle class, Andhra Pradesh BJP president and Rajamahendravaram MP Daggubati Purandeswari observes that the new taxation scheme will boost household consumption, expenditure and investment, further accelerating growth.
Expressing happiness over the new Income-Tax Bill tabled in Parliament by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday, Ms. Purandeswari, in a post on X, said, “I am happy to inform, with the new Income-Tax Bill, we will carry forward the spirit of ‘nyay’. The new Bill will be clear and direct in text. It will be simple to understand for taxpayers, leading to reduced litigation.”
“Our economy is the fastest-growing among all major economies. Our development track record for the past 10 years and structural reforms have drawn global attention,” she observed.
“A new ‘Fund of Funds for Startups’ will be set up to power entrepreneurship with fresh contribution of ₹10,000 crore, in addition to the existing government contribution of ₹10,000 crore,” she said.
Ms. Purandeswari further said that registration of gig workers would be done on the e-Shram portal. They would also be provided healthcare under the PM-Jan Arogya Yojana. This would help nearly one-crore gig workers, she siad.
A Nuclear Energy Mission for research and development of small modular reactors with an outlay of ₹20,000 crore would be set up. At least five indigenously developed small modular reactors would be operationalised by 2033, the BJP leader said.
