Two killed in road accident in Vanasthalipuram

Two persons were killed and one person narrowly escaped after a goods carrier vehicle rammed the autorickshaw they were travelling in Vanasthalipuram of Hyderabad early on Wednesday (February 26, 2025).

The deceased were identified as Syed Ismail, 48 and Md Ghouse, 40. They were travelling with Ghouse’ 15-year-old son Suleman from Batasingaram fruit market in Auto Nagar around 6 a.m. at the time of the accident.

“When they reached near the Sai Nagar Colony in Auto Nagar, an unidentified good carrier vehicle hit their auto from the rear pushing it into the railing on the left. The auto crashed into the railing and flipped before coming to halt. Both Ghouse and Ismail were thrown out of the vehicle and sustained serious injuries,” Vanasthalipuram Inspector Ch Srinivas Rao explained.

The two were rushed to Osmania General Hospital, where they succumbed while undergoing treatment. A case was booked and investigation is under way to trace the driver of the goods carrier vehicle.
