The Endowments department has removed three employees from services and suspended two staff of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devastanam for allegedly resorting to irregularities in VIP darshan.
It was alleged that the accused staff were collecting huge amount for arranging ‘VIP darshan’ from the devotees in the temple. Based on preliminary inquiry, the Endowments department officials terminated the services of three outsourcing staff and suspended two permanent employees.
Following a complaint lodged by the temple authorities, the One Town police of NTR Police Commissionerate registered a case. The case is under investigation, the police said on Thursday.
