There’s something about a starry night on a beach that brings out deep reflections and it was no different for TWICE’s Jihyo. In a recently uploaded vlog from her trip to Hawaii, Jihyo treated fans to glimpses of her relaxing getaway. She explored, soaked in the scenery and enjoyed precious moments with her travel companion. However, it was reportedly on the last night of her trip, as she sat by the ocean under a vast sky of twinkling stars, that reality hit her. “I don’t know why, but I’m suddenly having a reality check,” she admitted, her voice laced with introspection. When asked why, she replied, “I think it’s because the memories are just too good.”
Sensing her nostalgia, her companion suggested they return to Hawaii the following year. But Jihyo, with a mix of amusement and disbelief, quickly responded, “I’ll be in my 30s then,” before reminding herself that she still had a little time left in her 20s, informs Koreaboo.
With her 30th birthday approaching, the TWICE leader reflected on her 20s and candidly spoke about her fears. Though she embraced her accomplishments, she couldn’t shake off a lingering regret – one that many young adults might relate to. “I think what I regret the most is that all I did was work. That was the time when I was the youngest. I could’ve tried everything, taken risks without fear, but I spent all of it just working, Jihyo said.
Despite this bittersweet realisation, Jihyo acknowledged the rewards of her dedication. “I gained so much from it,” she reflected, gazing into the night.

Meanwhile, Jihyo’s musical journey continues to thrive, especially with TWICE’s latest comeback. The group recently dropped their 14th mini-album, STRATEGY and fans are eagerly awaiting its title track of the same name. Beyond her group activities, Jihyo has also been making waves as a solo artist. Her debut mini-album, Zone, released in August 2023, highlighted her incredible vocal abilities and songwriting skills, as reported by Sports Chosun. She is also gaining popularity with her contribution to K-drama soundtracks. In 2022, she lent her voice to several hit OSTs, including Stardust Love Song for Twenty-Five, Twenty-One, I Fly for Today’s Webtoon and A Strange Day for Summer Strike.
Jihyo first captured the public’s attention as a contestant on JYP Entertainment’s survival show SIXTEEN in 2015. Finishing in 8th place, she secured her spot as a key member of TWICE, which officially debuted later that year. Since then, she has remained a central figure in the group’s continuous success.
