Sohum Shah has expressed his fondness for Shah Rukh Khan and credited him for his journey in the film world.

With films such as the National Award-winning Ship Of Theseus, Tumbbad, and Talvar, Sohum Shah, is known for his method acting. He is also a successful producer known for backing Tumbbad which recently created history by becoming one of the highest-grossing re-released Indian films. While many see him as an inspiration in the world of cinema, the artist shared the influence of Shah Rukh Khan on his life and career.
During an interview with Pinkvilla, Sohum Shah was asked whether he seeks inspiration from Shah Rukh Khan. He expressed his fondness for the superstar and credited him for his journey in the film world. He said wherever he is today, it’s all because of Shah Rukh.
The Tumbbad actor said, “Mai toh yahan hu Shah Rukh Khan saab k vajah se aur mai toh ye boht jagah kehta hu ki jiss insaan me Shah Rukh Khan ka 5 percent bhi nhi hai, usse jeene ka bhi koi haq nhi hai.” (I am here because of Shah Rukh Khan sir, and I always say that a person who doesn’t even have 5 percent of SRK in them doesn’t have the right to live.)”
Later in the interview, Sohum also talked about the impressive legacy of Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan. He stated, “Bachchan Saab ka jo kaam haina, mujhey lagta hai vo koi match kar he nhi sakta. Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan legacy hai.” (No one can match Bachchan sir’s filmography. Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have an unmatched legacy.)
Meanwhile, Sohum Shah is gearing up for his upcoming psychological thriller Crazxy which he has also co-produced. After Tumbbad, fans were eagerly waiting for Sohum Shah’s next film. Set to release on February 28, Crazxy revolves around Abhimanyu Sood played by Shah, a successful surgeon who finds himself in a race against time when his daughter has been kidnapped, and he has to arrange a massive ransom for her release. Directed by Girish Kohli, the movie also features Mukesh Shah, Amita Shah, and Adesh Prasad in key roles. Crazxy also features a musical score by Vishal Bhardwaj, adding to its atmospheric tension.
