Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan’s latest film, Vidaamuyarchi, has hit theatres and is maintaining a steady box office run. After a stable collection on Thursday, the film saw a sudden dip on Day 3 (Saturday). Despite this, expectations remain high for Vidaamuyarchi to regain momentum in the coming days. Meanwhile, the lead actors have been earning praise for their performances. Amid the appreciation, Trisha Krishnan took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, recalling the film’s shooting days and calling it one of her “best rides.”
Taking to Instagram, Krishnan shared a behind-the-scenes video, featuring herself along with the cast and crew as she captured several moments from the sets of her film. The clip also featured candid moments showing her flaunting different costumes. Trisha added unseen photos with the team, including some mid-shoot snapshots with her co-star Ajith Kumar.
Another picture in the video included Ajith and Trisha posing with the director Magizh Thirumeni in the middle of a shoot.
The much-awaited action Vidaamuyarchi released in theatres on Thursday, February 6 in Tamil and Telugu with a bumper opening of Rs 26 crore on the first day. However, the numbers suffered a big fall by 66.35 per cent on the second day, bringing down the single-day collection to Rs 8.75 crore on Friday.
As of February 8, 12:06 am, Vidaamuyarchi has collected Rs 34.75 crore. As the third day progresses, the collections are expected to increase, likely to take the collection closer to the Rs 50 crore mark. The ongoing Valentine’s Week is also expected to offer a much-needed boost to the film’s collection.
Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the film tells the story of a man who embarks on a dangerous mission in Azerbaijan to rescue his kidnapped wife. Apart from Trisha and Ajith, the film also features actors Arjun Sarja and Regina Cassandra.
