Three more girls of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhyalaya (KGBV-Chavitidibbalu), Y. Ramavaram Mandal, Alluri Sitarama Raju district, were admitted to Rampachodavaram Government Area Hospital on Saturday (February 8) with complaints of vomiting and fever. With this, the total number of students taken ill rose to 14. The exact cause of the illness was yet to be ascertained.
ASR District Additional Project Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha, V. Swamy Naidu told The Hindu that ten of the girls were recovering at the hospital. He added that the condition of the Class 11 student who was shifted to Rajamahendravaram was out of danger.
The doctors have recommended a special diet for all the students of the KGBV-Chavitidibbalu.
