Vijayapura Police have arrested three men on the charge of looting a house and assaulting a businessman in the city.
Fortytwo-year-old Suresh Chauhan, 32-year-old Suraj Chauhan and 31-year-old Akash Rawat were picked up from some Maharashtra villages on the border.
They are facing the charge of forcibly entering the house of Santosh Kanal in Jainapur Colony, stabbing and assaulting him and throwing him down from the first-floor staircase. They also took away gold jewellery weighing 15 grams from the victim’s wife.
Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi has congratulated the investigating team.
