Thandel Movie FIRST Review Out: The trailer launch of the much-anticipated Telugu film Thandel saw Bollywood’s Aamir Khan as the chief guest. The grand event was held in Mumbai on Friday. The film, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, is set to release on February 7 in multiple languages, including Telugu and Hindi. The film’s team, which included Chaitanya, director Chandoo Mondeti, music director Devi Sri Prasad, and producers Allu Aravind and Bunny Vasu, expressed their gratitude to Aamir for being part of the launch.
While Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is also set to make his big-screen debut with Loveyapa around the same time, Aamir wasn’t bothered about the box office clash. When asked by reporters, he was all praises for both films. “Dono films super hit hogi. Main batata hoon kyu… dono ki kahaani bahut achi hai. Dono films chalengi,” he confidently stated.
Naga Chaitanya, in an interview with Zig Wheels, revealed that Thandel is based on a real-life incident from 2018, where a group of fishermen from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, inadvertently crossed into Pakistan waters and were detained. He mentioned that the film’s plot revolves around these fishermen’s struggles, their time spent in jail, and the emotional and inspirational journey they embarked upon. The film also features a love story inspired by the real-life couple involved in the incident.
“The love story in the film, which involves me and Sai, is based on what actually happened. The wife of one of the fishermen played a pivotal role in bringing them back to India, fighting for their release, and motivating the government to intervene,” Chaitanya explained.
Aamir Khan, who has always been known for his admiration of strong stories, expressed his belief that Thandel would be a success. The actor-director’s support for the film has generated buzz, with expectations running high for its upcoming release.
