The Telangana government has announced the construction of the Greenfield Radial Road, named Ratan Tata Road, which will serve as a link between the Tata Interchange at Raviryal on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and the Regional Ring Road (RRR) at Amangal. The project is expected to cost ₹4,030 crore, as per a release.

Stretching across 41.5 kilometres, the road will pass through six mandals — Maheshwaram, Ibrahimpatnam, Kandukur, Yacharam, Kadthal, and Amangal, covering 14 villages in Rangareddy district. It will be executed in two phases, with Phase I covering 19.2 km from ORR (Raviryal, Tata Interchange) to Meerkhanpet at a cost of ₹ 1,665 crore, and Phase II extending 22.3 km from Meerkhanpet to RRR at Amangal, costing ₹2,365 crore, the release stated.

The project has been entrusted to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL).

Designed as a 100-metre access-controlled expressway, the road will feature a 3+3 six-lane main carriageway, with provisions for future expansion to an eight-lane road. A 20-metre-wide central median will be reserved for a potential metro or railway corridor, ensuring long-term urban mobility planning. The infrastructure will also include service roads, a greenbelt, dedicated cycle tracks, footpaths, and a utility corridor on either side, making it a well-integrated and sustainable transport route, as per the release.

To initiate the project, HMDA/HGCL has invited bids from agencies, with tender documents available on the Telangana e-procurement portal and the HMDA website from February 28. The technical bids are set to be opened on March 21.
