Tekion, innovator of the first cloud-native platform serving the automotive retail ecosystem, has partnered with Praana Animal Foundation to open a dedicated cat rehabilitation and adoption centre in Bengaluru.

This initiative is part of Tekion’s ongoing global commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The centre, located off Kanakapura Road, will provide comprehensive care for feral, injured, rescued, and abandoned cats. The centre will offer various services, including post operation care, rehabilitation, and adoption support for cats, according to a release by Tekion.

“We are proud to partner with Praana Animal Foundation to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable cats in Bengaluru,” said Rana Robillard, Chief People Officer of Tekion. “This centre will not only provide essential care but also raise awareness about animal welfare and responsible pet ownership,” she said.

This collaboration marks the third joint initiative between Tekion and Praana in the past year, building on the successful launch of a 24/7 animal ambulance service in 2024. “This centre is a dream come true for me. This is the first post-care unit in India for cats, we wanted to fill the gap between rescuers and a place to keep them till they get adopted. Thanks to Tekion’s support, we can now provide specialized care and find loving homes for cats,” said Samyukta Hornad, actor and Founder of Praana Animal Foundation. “We have miles to go, we look forward to many more collaborations with Tekion that further our cause for animals,”she said.

According to the release, the centre is equipped with post-operative care facilities for cats. Once the cats are fully fit, adoption drives will be conducted regularly to help cats find their forever families. Adding a touch of creativity, the centre features cat-themed murals painted by students from Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat and other Bengaluru-based art institutes. Praana will also host educational sessions and workshops for school children to promote compassion and respect for animals, the release notes.
