Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has recently been in the news after certain reports claimed that she is be summoned by the Puducherry Police in connection with a Rs 2.4 crore cryptocurrency fraud case. The actress has now reacted to the reports, calling them ‘fake and misleading’. She slammed the false reports about her involvement in cryptocurrency fraud case, and requested the media to refrain from circulating the rumours. She strongly condemned the reports, and said that she plans to take appropriate action against those responsible for spreading these rumours.

Tamannaah Bhatia issued a statement that read, “It has come to my attention that rumors are being circulated alleging my involvement and dealing with cryptocurrency. I’d like to request my friends in media not to circulate any such fake, misleading, and false reports and rumours. In the meantime, my team is looking into the same to initiate appropriate action.”

On Friday, several reports claimed that Tamannaah and Kajal Aggarwal were likely to be questioned for a cryptocurrency fraud case by the Puducherry police. 123Telugu reported that Ashokan, a resident of Puducherry, lodged a complaint with the local police alleging that a Coimbatore-based firm had duped him and his 10 friends of Rs 2.4 crore by convincing them to invest in a cryptocurrency scheme. The report claimed that while Tamannaah had attended the launch event of the company, Kajal Aggarwal had attended another corporate event for the same company.

The report claimed that the police had sought clarification from the two actresses on whether they were merely endorsing the events for the company or if they had any financial involvement. However, there was no official statement from the police on the matter.

On the professional front, Tamannaah Bhatia is gearing up for the release of her next film Odela 2. Directed by Ashok Teja, Odela 2 is a sequel to Sampath Nandi’s 2022 film Odela Railway Station. The film is jointly produced under Sampath Nandi Teamworks banner and Madhu Creations. Apart from Tamannaah, the project also stars Hebah Patel and Vasishta N Simha in the lead roles. Additionally, Yuva, Naga Mahesh, Vamsi, Gagan Vihari, Surender Reddy, Bhupal and Pooja Reddy have joined in as an ensemble.
