Fans of the 2000 film Hera Pheri were absolutely delighted as filmmaker Priyadarshan recently expressed his wish to make ‘Hera Pheri 3’ with the iconic trio Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty. He reacted to Akshay’s birthday wish for him, mentioning that he is willing to do ‘Hera Pheri 3’. Now Tabu, who played Anuradha Shivshankar Panikar in the 2000 film, has also reacted to Akshay and Priyadarshan’s exchange on social media. She wrote that the cast will not be complete without her!
On Monday, Tabu took to her Instagram stories to re-share Akshay Kumar’s birthday post for Priyadarshan. Reacting to the discussion about Hera Pheri 3, Tabu wrote, “Of course the cast won’t be complete without me!!!!!! @priyadarshan.official.”
The post by Akshay Kumar read, “Happy Birthday, Priyan Sir! What better way to celebrate than by spending the day on a haunted set, surrounded by ghosts…both real and unpaid extras? Thank you for being a mentor, and the only person who can make chaos look like a masterpiece. May your day be filled with fewer retakes. Wishing you a fantastic year ahead! @priyadarshan.official.” Reacting to this, Priyadarshan commented, “Thank you so much for your wishes, Akshay. In return I would like to give you a gift, I am willing to do Hera Pheri 3, are you ready, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal?”
Akshay Kumar, clearly thrilled, wasted no time replying, “Sir!!! Your birthday, but I got the best gift of my life. Chalo karte hain phir thodi hera pheri!” Gulshan Grover, who played Kabira in Hera Pheri, also reacted to his tweet, and wrote, “KABIRA SPEAKING …Hera Pheri3 ! Kabira is exited … let’s do it …..This is the best news I have heard @priyadarshandir @akshaykumar @SunielVShetty @SirPareshRawal.”
Meanwhile, Priyadarshan is currently shooting for Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar and Tabu. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Hera Pheri 3 will go on floors in December 2025. A source close to the development informed the portal, “Priyadarshan is presently busy shooting for Bhooth Bangla, and the filmmaker will lock his edit for VFX and post-production by June 2025. He then wants to spend some time on the script and then take Hera Pheri 3 on floors. The entire gang is aware of how big a franchise Hera Pheri is and wants to leave no stone unturned to deliver an experience of laughter like never before. The third part of Hera Pheri will go on floors after 6 months of writing and pre-production.”
