Sudesh Lehri is a popular comedian.
Popular comedian Sudesh Lehri was the recent guest on Archana Puran Singh’s YouTube show. Titled Sudesh Lehri Ki Kahani – Ek Thappad, Ek Sapna, Aur Ek Safar, the 23-minute video was all about fun and laughter as Archana joined in with her husband, Parmeet Sethi, and sons Ayushmaan Sethi and Aaryamann Sethi.
The video starts with Lehri meeting the family and taking a tour of their massive house in Mumbai. He meets Singh’s parents and bows respectfully towards them. The family of four also has a hearty lunch with Sudesh who leaves no stone unturned in making them laugh. In fact, Archana and her sons also play a prank on the comedian by talking to him in English constantly knowing fully well that he isn’t well-versed in the language. However, Lehri catches on and the tables turn when he pranks them instead, leading to a round full of another laughter. They also sit in the garden, having snacks and singing old songs.
During this segment, Sudesh Lehri recalls the time he was performing in Paris and a drunk man attacked him violently on the stage. He said that he vowed never to perform at weddings after that. “I was singing in Paris and everything was going well until a drunkard came on stage, held my collar and slapped me hard. My mic fell off. It was very humiliating. I wanted to cry but my tears weren’t coming out. The musicians with me wanted to take care of him and took out their drum sticks but I stopped them. I started questioning everything ki kya kar rahe hai. I came home to my wife and told her that I wouldn’t be performing at weddings anymore.”
Sudesh added, “I sold my house and paid back to those I had lent from. I thought we’d stay in rent. I wanted to make a name for myself so people would respect me. Bhagwan dukh ko such me badal deta hain. Then I got my first film and I toured the world.”
Sudesh Lehri also mentioned that he never went to school in his childhood. He saw one for the first time during an ad shoot and recalled asking Krushna Abhishek what a blackboard was.
