Sky Force actors Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, who will be seen essaying the role of Air Force officers in the film, hosted a special screening for NCC cadets in Delhi yesterday. The event was also attended by film’s producers, Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik. Special thanks to Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh and Disha Cell of the Indian Air Force.
The NCC, the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces, brought infectious energy to the screening. The cadets were visibly captivated, reacting with awe and admiration to the film’s powerful and emotional moments.
Following the screening, the Sky Force team engaged in an interactive session with the cadets, discussing their training experiences, the film’s theme, inspiration, and the spirit of service and patriotism. Adding a dash of fun to the evening, Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya sang a song from the film for the cadets, which made their evening even more special.
Sky Force is based on the 1965 Sargodha airstrike, India’s first deadly air combat mission, and honours the bravery of Squadron Leader A.B. Devayya. The film is set to release this Friday, promising a thrilling tribute to the valor of the Indian Air Force.
Meanwhile, as Republic Week nears, the upcoming film Sky Force is all set to honour India’s brave soldiers with a new version of the iconic song “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon.” Produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films, the movie is scheduled for a grand release on January 24, 2025. This reimagined version of the timeless classic reflects the film’s patriotic spirit, saluting the courage and sacrifices of the armed forces. Originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar, with lyrics by Pradeep and music by C. Ramchandra, the song has been revamped by Tanishk Bagchi under Saregama’s banner, blending modern elements with its original emotional depth.
The film sheds light on the untold story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike, showcasing a gripping tale of bravery, strategy, and sacrifice.
