The Nadakkavu police have registered a case against six third-year students of Holy Cross Institute of Management and Technology at Eranhipalam in Kozhikode city, Kerala, on charges of ragging a first-year BBA student on the campus on February 14.

The case was registered on Tuesday (February 18) evening based on the victim’s complaint. The incident occurred after a cultural event held on the basketball court around 6:45 p.m.

The six senior students allegedly demanded that the fresher remove the sunglasses he had worn for the programme. When he refused, two seniors forcibly removed his sunglasses and then beat and kicked him, according to the FIR.
