Simone Ashley confirmed that fans would witness Kate and Anthony’s effortless chemistry in Bridgerton season 4.

The fierce love story of Kathani Sharma and Anthony in Bridgerton Season 2 holds a special place in fans’ hearts. Viewers are excited to watch their favourite on-screen Bridgerton couple, Simone Ashley and Jonathan Baile,y return to screen in the fourth installment of the show. Ahead of its release, Simone opened up about returning to the sets of the romance television series created by Chris Van Dusen and revealed her excitement for the same. She also discussed her on-screen chemistry with Jonathan Bailey.
In an interview with People magazine during the New York City premiere of her new film, Picture This, Simone Ashley revealed her ecstatic feelings about being featured in season 4. She shared, “Time doesn’t move [there] as much as outside.”
She further explained that for most of them going on Bridgerton’s set was like homecoming and called it a “comfort zone for sure.” In the same conversation, Ashley was asked whether her on-screen chemistry with Bailey falls back like the previous seasons right after returning to the set. To this, the actress responded with a confident “yes,” and termed it “effortless.”
Ashley and Bailey captivated the hearts of their fans with their chemistry in seasons 2 and 3 of the Netflix series. Although they were the main focus of the second season, the following season focused on the love story between Nicola Coughlan’s ‘Penelope Featherington’ and Luke Newton’s ‘Colin Bridgerton’. This time, fans are eager to get back Ashley and Bailey’s romantic stance in the upcoming season, although it will be led by Luke Newton and Yerin Ha’s characters.
On the work front, Ashley’s latest project, Picture This, was released on Amazon Prime Video on March 6. She can also be seen donning the cape of executive producer in the British romantic comedy film, directed by Prarthana Mohan. Besides Bridgerton season 4, she also has F1 and This Tempting Madness undergoing post-production in her pipeline.
Coming to her personal life, the British actress recently confirmed her breakup with boyfriend Tino Klein. In a conversation on BBC’s Woman’s Hour podcast, the actress revealed that she has been currently focusing on herself and her career. She said, “It’s kind of ironic that I’m promoting a rom-com while entering my single era as of January this year.”
On the other hand, Bailey has two more films on his list for 2025: Jurassic World Rebirth as Dr. Henry Loomis and Wicked: For Good as Fiyero, both of which are undergoing post-production.
