Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra sent the internet into a frenzy with the announcement of their first pregnancy. Soon after sharing the news, they were flooded with congratulatory messages from Bollywood celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, and Neha Dhupia. Amid the excitement, an old interview of Sidharth has resurfaced, where he once revealed that he would only marry when he was ready to have kids.
Back in 2016, while promoting Baar Baar Dekho, Sidharth spoke to DNA about his views on marriage. He shared that he believed in the institution of marriage, having grown up in a middle-class household surrounded by joint families. However, he also acknowledged that modern relationships had changed significantly.
“In today’s day and age, marriage has become just a tagline. I think I will only get married when I want to have babies. Otherwise, it would be unfair to the child to not give him/her a name. Till then, it doesn’t matter. You can be with whoever you want to. Marriage is just a technicality, it doesn’t change your love for that person,” Sidharth had said.
Fast forward to 2023, Sidharth and Kiara tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, on February 7, after falling in love while filming Shershaah. Nearly two years later, the couple announced they were expecting their first child. Their pregnancy reveal post featured them holding a tiny pair of baby socks, with the caption, “The greatest gift of our lives. Coming soon.”
On the work front, Sidharth recently wrapped up the Kerala schedule of his upcoming romantic comedy, Param Sundari, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor. The actor then took a short vacation with Kiara, and their pictures from the trip quickly went viral. Directed by Tushar Jalota and backed by Maddock Films, Param Sundari is slated for release on July 25, 2025.
Kiara, meanwhile, is gearing up for War 2, where she will star alongside Hrithik Roshan.
