Shreya Ghoshal, on March 1, wrote a note on Instagram, informing fans that her X (formerly Twitter) account had been hacked since February 13. The singer expressed concern, sharing that her team has been trying to recover her account or get a response from the X team but of no help. The Mere Dholna singer said that she isn’t able to even delete her account. Lastly, she urged her fans to remain cautious and not click on any spam and fishing links from her X account.
Addressing her fans and friends, Shreya wrote, “My Twitter / X account is hacked since February 13th. I have tried every thing in my capacity to reach out to the X team. But there has been no response beyond a few auto generated responses.
I am unable to even delete my account since I can’t log in any more.
Please don’t click on any link or believe any message written from that account. They are all spams and fishing links. I will update personally through a video if the account is recovered and is safe.” Take a look:
Shreya’s fans took to the comments section, hoping for a resolution. They also expressed their disappointment over the singer’s mention that she has been trying to delete her X account. “Hope we get back you soon there We will wait for you there. Your Twitter SGFamily miss you so much. Many emotions are attached there. Hope you get back your account soon”, wrote one fan. Another posted, “Didi, please try to reach out to the higher authorities. They will resolve the matter, just like they did before. That account holds years of love and memories! it’s an emotion for us. We miss you so much”. Yet another user commented, “I am literally crying to see the line “delete my account” How many emotions are attached with that account.”
Meanwhile, there has been no untoward post on Shreya’s X profile. Her last update was made on February 6. It was a repost of a song she sang for Telugu film, Thandel.
