Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar made headlines last year after revealing his cancer diagnosis. He underwent treatment in Florida and returned home after successfully overcoming the life-threatening disease. Following a surgical procedure, he was declared cancer-free and is now in good health, eager to return to work. Recently, he opened up about his cancer journey, reflecting on his treatment experience while also hinting at an exciting upcoming project.
In an interview with 123 Telugu, Shiva Rajkumar took a trip down memory lane to recall the moment he first learned about his cancer diagnosis. Although the disheartening news came as a shocker, he decided to stay busy with work, fulfilling his work commitments at the same time. Shedding light on the support of his family, he mentioned that they were his pillar of strength during the challenging period, making it easy for him to balance chemotherapy sessions while also shooting for a full-length film shoot.
Shiva Rajkumar said, “I was a bit shaken initially, but my family and my doctors instilled confidence in me. I shot for movies while simultaneously undergoing chemotherapy. It was quite difficult. You’d be shocked to see how I acted in the climax of 45.”
Moving forward to the present times, the Kannada star is currently in Bangalore. Set to resume work, he was taking some rest before commencing the shoot for his upcoming project. Next, he will be seen in a crucial role in RC16, starring Ram Charan and directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Shiva Rajkumar inadvertently revealed details about his upcoming project. Speaking about his role, he hinted that his character in the alleged sports drama would be distinctive and unlike anything he has portrayed before.
Speaking further, Shiva also spoke about making it back to the sets of RC16. The actor said, “I will resume shooting for my upcoming movies from March 3. I will join Ram Charan’s RC16 team in Hyderabad on March 5. I’m playing a very special role in the movie. I will shoot for three days for RC16. I thank my fans and well-wishers from the industry for their love and support during my difficult times.”
He will join the shoot in March.
