Shilpa Shetty, known for her roles in films like Dhadkan, Rishtey, Phir Milenge, Dus and Life in a… Metro, is also a travel enthusiast. Besides being a dedicated fitness freak and fashionista, the actress also often makes her Instagram community a part of her travel diaries. Currently, she is in her hometown Mangaluru, alongside her family and has been constantly soaking in the spiritual journeys towards many eminent temples of the place.
On Instagram, Shilpa Shetty recently posted a video featuring glimpses of her visit to the Sri Hosa Marigudi Temple in the Udipi district of Mangalore with her family. She was seen accompanied by her husband, Raj Kundra, their kids, Viaan and Samisha, her mother Sunanda Shetty and sister, Samita Shetty. The video began with the madly-in-love couple walking barefoot towards the temple premises while carrying a beautiful thaal of floral garlands in their hands.
There, the happy family participated in the Ashtabandha Brahmakalashotsavam celebrations, which have been going on since February 25. There, they were also having their meals inside the temple premises after having a blissful darshan of Goddess Mariyamma. Undoubtedly, Shilpa’s happiness had no bounds as she got the chance to reconnect with her roots, culture and heritage. Expressing the same in the caption of the video, she penned, “There’s a sense of peace in going back to where you come from. Traditions that transcend time, faith that strengthens the soul— Watching my kids and husband embrace this legacy and soak in the faith is a blessing in itself.”
She continued, “Thankyou @onlyrajkundra for all your love and unconditional support. Surrender to FAITH and see miracles happen. Truly Grateful.” She even hash-tagged the post with words like “Back To My Roots”, “Mangalore”, “blessed” and “traditions”.
For the day, the actress wore a yellow-hued saree with pink borders and teamed her look with a matching blouse. She accessorised her look with temple jewellery, subtle makeup and a bun hairdo adorned with white gajras. A small bindi and sindoor-clad maang made her look completely radiant.
On the other hand, Raj Kundra opted for a white dhoti-kurta teamed with a matching doshala. Their son wore a green floral-printed kurta alongside white pants. It was Samisha’s look for the day that was simply adorable. The baby girl wore a red-hued lehenga choli and looked cute as a button. A middle-parted bun hairdo with similar garja-adornments made her look prettier.
Ahead of this, Shilpa and her family offered prayers at the Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple in Kateel, situated in the Dakshina Kannada district of Mangalore.
