Anupam Mittal wore a saree on Shark Tank India 4 after Aseem Shakti introduced a 15-second drape saree.

Anupam Mittal has been a part of Shark Tank India ever since its first season.

In the recent episode of Shark Tank India 4, Anupam Mittal was seen wearing a saree. It all started when a pitcher named Aseem Shakti introduced sharks to her saree brand which can be draped in just 15 seconds, without anybody’s help. While Vineeta Singh called it a “game-changer”, the pitcher asked for Rs 50 lakh in exchange of 2.5% equity.

During the pitch, Swati revealed that she has also been supporting and offering employment to women with her brand. However, the sharks were left shocked when they got to know that Swati sells her sarees for between Rs 3000 and Rs 6000. When Vineeta suggested that Swati should reduce the price of her sarees, the pitcher mentioned that she is unable to do so because she pays over Rs 4 lakh salaries. Swati also mentioned that her goal is to build a Rs 100 crore business with her gang of women.

However, when Peyush Bansal and Kunal Bahl asked pitcher business-related questions, she struggled to answer. Therefore, they backed out of the deal. Vineeta also backed out of the deal.

At this point, Anupam Mittal stepped in and said, “It feels really bad.” Anupam said, “Don’t feel bad, because sabse bada sher baaki hai. It’s clear that you don’t have a great understanding of financials, and that you were parroting details here. But there’s room to grow and learn. What’s also clear is your vision. You want to help people, and you want to build a community. My business has a separate arm called Shaadi.org, whose purpose is to provide employment for women. I will deploy a marketing and finance person for you. You only need to focus on growing your community.”

Mittal then offered Rs 50 lakh to Swati in exchange for 10 per cent equity in Swati’s brand. She accepted the offer. Anupam then draped a saree and impressed everyone. Kunal Bahl also told Anupam, “You’re always a good sport.”

Shark Tank India 4 airs on Sony Liv from Monday to Friday at 8 pm.
