Shahid Kapoor will be reuniting with director Vishal Bhardwaj for a gangster action drama.

Shahid Kapoor is currently basking in the glory of his latest film Deva. Recently, the actor was spotted at the Mumbai airport, heading to an undisclosed location. In one of the videos making the rounds online, the Jab We Met actor can be seen exiting his car and walking towards the airport entrance. What caught the netizens’ attention was Shahid’s sleeveless hoodie.
It featured the text, “No Photography,” written on the back. Too cool Shahid, too cool.
Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor’s Deva features Pooja Hegde as the female lead. The project has been helmed by Rosshan Andrrews. On Monday, the film earned Rs 2.75 crore at the box office, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. So far, Deva has garnered Rs 21.9 crore in the domestic market.
Produced by Roy Kapur Films, Deva follows the story of ACP Dev Ambre (Shahid), an impulsive cop and womanizer who loses his memory while investigating the death of his best friend. Deva is an adaptation of Rosshan’s 2013 Malayalam film Mumbai Police, with some changes made to the storyline.
Ahead of the release of Deva, Shahid Kapoor conducted an Ask Me Anything session on X (formerly Twitter), where he answered several fans’ questions. When asked about his reaction to the film’s climax, he shared that he was “shocked post-climax” and found it “very fresh.”
Shahid Kapoor will be next seen in director Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming gangster action drama film. Set for release in December 2025, the movie also stars Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar and Randeep Hooda in important roles.
Shahid Kapoor will also reportedly star in Cocktail 2, directed by Homi Adajania. Produced by Maddock Films, the film will be a love triangle.
