Actor Shah Rukh Khan made a dazzling appearance at Netflix’s Next on Netflix event, where he spoke about producing his son Aryan Khan’s debut directorial, The Ba**ds of Bollywood. In a mic-drop moment, Shah Rukh referred to himself as a ‘naam ka producer’ (producer in name only) and gave a statement that sparked cheers from the audience.
Discussing his production house Red Chillies Entertainment collaborating with Netflix, Shah Rukh candidly remarked in Hindi, “Everyone else takes care of this, I am just a naam ka producer. My thing is very simple. All these producer, director, writer, production… I am just a bloody star (in a deep voice). The music is better; producers don’t get any.” His humorous remark was met with enthusiastic applause.
Dressed in an all-black ensemble with his signature tied-back hair and sunglasses, the Jawan star captivated attendees. Shah Rukh’s next project, King, will see him share the screen with Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.
The Ba**ds of Bollywood, announced last November by Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment, is set against the backdrop of the Indian film industry and follows an outsider’s ambitious journey in Bollywood. A six-episode web series, it is rumored to feature cameos from stars like Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Badshah, and Bobby Deol.
A recent video from the set, shared by a Shah Rukh fan club, gave fans a sneak peek into Aryan directing a scene and engaging with his crew. The caption read, “#AryanKhan video from the sets of his debut directorial project The Ba**ds of Bollywood, which is all set to stream on Netflix later this year.”
Aryan reportedly wrapped up the shoot for his directorial venture in May last year, with the project now in post-production and slated for release later this year. Fans eagerly anticipate the series and Shah Rukh’s rumored appearance, adding to its buzz.
