Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been giving the media and paparazzi a miss since 2021. The actor has avoided the cameras, hiding under umbrellas and not posing for the media at events and parties. In a recent conversation with Zoom, his former security in charge, Yusuf Ibrahim opened up about why the actor avoids paps.
Yusuf said, “It’s not about shying away. Voh hoga kuch personal reason. Main toh nahi jaanta because I’m not working for him anymore. So, unka internally kya wajah hai, kyu kar rahe hain, that’s his call. I have no idea.”
Yusuf has had a long-standing relationship with Shah Rukh Khan. He started his company by taking charge of SRK’s safety. In fact, SRK’s current bodyguard, Ravi Singh, was also first assigned to him by Yusuf when Ravi was still a part of his company.
As for SRK, earlier, Mumbai-based paparazzo Varinder Chawla opened up about Shah Rukh and said that he is ‘mad’ at the media. He revealed that Shah Rukh has been avoiding the paparazzi because he is angry with the media over the coverage of his son Aryan Khan’s arrest.
For the unversed, Aryan was arrested in October 2021 in a ‘drugs on cruise’ case. He was in police custody for 22 days. Shah Rukh had visited Aryan in jail and was brutally mobbed. Aryan was eventually released and was cleared of his charges.
“After speaking to him, I realised his love for his children, his son Aryan Khan. I too have children, if people went around talking ill and negative things about my children, I too would feel sad. He was so sad and upset back then, we didn’t care about that. We just kept complaining that SRK doesn’t give us photos and always hides his face. He is mad at the media for what they did to his son,” Varinder said.
As for Yusuf Ibrahim, he is a popular security consultant in the Bollywood circle. He has been in charge of Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s security since they began their careers with Student Of The Year. Yusuf has also protected stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.
