The district administration has imposed Section 144 prohibiting gathering of more than five person near the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Group-II Mains examination centres in the district.

A total of 9,993 candidates will appear for the examinations at 30 centres in the district on Sunday (February 23, 2025). The Paper-1 written examination will be held from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and Paper-II examination from 3 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

District Collector P. Ranjith Basha has asked the officials to close the xerox centres near the examination centres on Sunday (February 23, 2025). He said mobile phones or any other electronic device would not be allowed inside the centre and the staff also follow the rule. “Joint Collector will act coordinating officer for the conduct of the examination,” he said.

Mr. Ranjith Basha said the Joint Collector, District Revenue Officer and liaison officers will take the responsibility of providing the examination papers at the examination centres and also bringing back the written answer sheets while chief superintendent will be responsible for conduct of the examination in the centres.

The Collector said the examination papers should be taken to the examination centres in closed vehicles under police supervision.

The candidates will be allowed into the examination centres from 8.30 a.m. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the centres after 9.45 a.m. for the Paper-1 examination and after 2.45 p.m. for the Paper-II examination. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall till the end of the examination time. Police personnel were asked to check the candidates thoroughly and to ensure that mobile phones or any other electronic device are not carried inside the centre.
