The Special Investigation Team (SIT) which is probing allegations in the wake of the publication of the Hema Committee report filed a second chargesheet against M. Mukesh, actor and MLA, in a sexual assault case.
The first one had been filed at a court in Wadakkancherry, in another case. The investigation team relied mainly on digital evidence, while filing the new chargesheet before a judicial first-class magistrate court here about a week ago, it is learnt.
The case was registered by the Maradu police, following a complaint by a woman actor. Rebutting her allegations, Mr. Mukesh said the charges were the result of his refusal to succumb to her blackmail attempts.
The SIT has also filed a chargesheet against actor Maniyanpilla Raju in a case for sexual harassment, in which the actor allegedly sexually harassed the complainant in Fort Kochi.
