The Saundatti Yallamma Devi Temple in Yallammanagudda of Belagavi district is not closed and will remain open for devotees, the Yallamma Devi Temple Authority has clarified.

Secretary of the temple authority Ashok Dudagunti has appealed to the people not to believe in rumours.

There is some development work going on at the temple but devotees can still visit for the Goddess’ blessings. Reports suggesting that the temple is closed for the public are false and baseless, he said.

“The temple is open throughout the day. All the religious rituals and prayers are on. We just celebrated the annual fair in January and we are preparing for the coming celebrations in February and March. We urge people not to believe misleading information,” said a release.
