Amrita Singh is celebrating her 67th birthday, and wishes have been pouring in for the actress from midnight. Her birthday turned even more special thanks to a heartfelt post shared by her daughter Sara Ali Khan. She shared some beautiful pictures with Amrita Singh, thanking her for her genes. She donned her mother’s black outfit for a friend’s wedding reception recently, and called herself Amrita Singh’s ‘carbon copy’.
The first picture shared by her is a collage of two photos- one throwback picture featuring Amrita Singh and Sara Ali Khan, and another recent picture of Sara in which she is seen wearing her mom’s black ethnic outfit from years ago, at a friend’s wedding. She said that she loved her mom’s earrings that kurta from many years ago, which is why she ‘copied’ her on her birthday. “Happiest Birthday Mommy Jaan Thank you for your genes since I can’t wear your (jeans emoji) But I can wear my favourite outfit of yours. I remember this evening with you- and loving your earrings and kurta and now I copied you on your birthday #carboncopy #copypaste Badhiya mummy so why waste,” read Sara’s caption.
The second photo shared by Sara Ali Khan was a major throwback snap of Amrita Singh. The last photo was from Sara’s birthday celebration, in which she is seen feeding cake to Amrita Singh. Reacting to the post, one fan wrote, “Awww this is soo sweet,” while another one commented, “How gorgeous amrita looks in the 1st pic. Yeah… thanking the genes is fair enough.” Sara’s Sky Force co-star Nimrat Kaur commented, “Happy birthday to your amazing mama.”
Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan recently attended a friend’s wedding with her mom Amrita Singh, and her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan. Taking to her Instagram handle, Sara shared photos in which she looked stunning in a red colour saree. Amrita Singh opted for a blue colour suit while Ibrahim looked handsome in formal. Meanwhile, for her friend’s wedding reception, Sara donned Amrita’s black ethnic suit. Several videos of the actress enjoying Akon’s performance during the wedding reception have surfaced on social media.
On the work front, Sara was last seen in Sky Force with Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya. She will next be seen in Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro…In Dino’.
