Dressed in a stunning cream saree and stylish black sunglasses, the actress joined four other guests on the dance floor to groove to Rupinder Handa’s hit Punjabi track Kali Activa. While she initially seemed unsure of the steps, Sanya quickly caught the rhythm, effortlessly matching the bride’s moves. The fun-filled moment left fans thrilled to see this lively side of her.
Sanya Malhotra didn’t just impress with her dance moves—she brought even more energy to the celebration by cheering and whistling for the bride. Despite her packed schedule of interviews and promotions following the OTT release of Mrs, Sanya made time to attend the wedding and fully immerse herself in the festivities. Sharing a glimpse of the moment on her now-disappeared Instagram story, she added only a red heart emoji to express her joy.
Meanwhile, Sanya Malhotra is basking in the success of her recent movie Mrs. The film follows the journey of a young woman who marries a doctor, only to find herself confined within the rigid expectations of a traditional household. As she shoulders the burden of endless domestic chores, she begins to feel trapped, sparking a deeper reflection on gender roles and societal norms.
In a previous interview with Mid Day, Sanya Malhotra, speaking about the movie and her reaction to getting the offer, said, “To be honest, I was very excited that I got this offer. I’m very greedy as an actor, I am always looking for the story to inspire me, empower me and in a way, also empower people who are watching it. I’m always on a look out for such stories and I think, I’m also very lucky, I have worked really hard, I should give the credit to myself. I feel very lucky that the makers and director and producers can see me playing such a character so I was extremely excited also.”
“I have seen this happening around me. I have seen my friends go through similar challenges as Richa and I think this story needs to be told. This is something that we think. It’s so annoying that we are not even aware of a few things which are shown in the film,” Sanya Malhotra added.
Directed by Arati Kadav, other than Sanya Malhotra, Mrs also stars Varun Badola, Nishant Dahiya and Kanwaljit Singh.
