During a recent interview, Sameera actress opened up about their relationship and the early days of her marriage. Sameera described Manjri as a mix of both modern and traditional. She mentioned that her mother-in-law who is single and a divorcee had no problem if she stayed the night at their home with (then-boyfriend) Akshai before marriage. “She was okay if I spent the night there. I was 32, Akshai was 30, and she was like, ‘You guys are in your 30s. I am not dumb.’ There was no dikhava.”(There was no pretence), she revealed.
However, there were a few things that Sameera took some time to deal with. The Taxi No. 9 2 11 actress mentioned that her mother-in-law would join her and her husband on their movie dates. She said, “For the first six months of my life, I had the mother come with us to movies. ‘Akshai’s like, No, I have to take my mother for the movie. You know, my mother is single,’” Sameera recalled.
Sameera married entrepreneur Akshai in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony in 2014 and the couple is parents to two children- son Hans and daughter Nyra.
On the work front, Sameera was last seen in Naam alongside Ajay Devgn directed by Anees Bazmee. The movie was released on November 22. It tells the story of a professional killer who loses his memory after a near-fatal mishap. Piecing his life, he’s ensnared in a perilous game with the CBI and foes.
