Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu tied the knot in 2017. The former couple parted ways in 2021. A few years after their divorce, an old video of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s wedding surfaced online in which the two could be seen taking vows in a Christian ceremony. In the video, Samantha said that Chay would be a great father to their child.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu said, “Like how all arguments will be resolved without a change of tone and how I’m never allowed to get away with anything but crying. But because of you, I can feel myself slowly and surely becoming what I have always dreamt of being.”
She said, “You are the greatest man I have ever known and I know that one day you will be a perfect father to our beautiful child. I’ll choose you in a hundred lives and a hundred worlds and in any reality. I choose you.”
Now, Naga Chaitanya has addressed his divorce with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and has called it a mutual decision. The actor mentioned that he and Samantha have moved on in their lives but have immense respect for one another. Naga Chaitanya mentioned that as someone who comes from a broken family, he thinks 1000 times before breaking a relationship.
Chay said on the Raw Talks With VK podcast, “We wanted to go our own ways. For our own reasons, we have taken this decision and we respect each other. We are moving on in our lives, in our own way… It was for the betterment of whoever was involved in the marriage… Whatever the decision was, it was a very conscious decision after much thought and with a lot of respect for the other person. I’m saying this because it’s a very sensitive topic for me.”
Naga Chaitanya added, “I’ve moved on with so much grace. She has moved on with so much grace. We are leading our own lives. I have found love again. I am so happy and we have so much respect for each other.” Naga Chaitanya got married to Sobhita Dhulipala in 2024.
