Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing has raised concerns over security measures that actors follow. Amid this, Alia Bhatt’s security head, Yusuf Ibrahim, told Zoom that in most cases, buildings don’t pay their guards enough. He mentioned that most guards travel long distances and then do their shifts. As such, they feel depleted and need more rest. As such, better pay would incentivise them.
Yusuf said, “Uske (Saif) ghar tak upar kaise chale gaye yeh bhi pata nahi. Lekin ek cheez maine notice kari when I ventured into building security… they used to say Rs 7000 ya Rs 8000 main karo. It’s not possible, what the society wants. Rs 7000 se uska (the guard) ghar nahi chalta hai. Voh gaon (village) se aata hai kaam karne ke liye toh he does double shift. He does morning and night 12-hour shifts. Voh soyega hi soyega. Security aapko barabar nahi milega.”
He added, “If you pay a good amount to security companies… voh khud mehnat karega. Insaan ki body ko rest chahiye. Yeh jo security buildings ki hoti hai, they need to work on it… Mere yeh nahi samajh aaya ki Saif ki building main kaise aadmi upar chala gaya? Flat ke andar kaise chala gaya? It’s a big mistake from the society. I don’t know how much the society is paying them. Lekin society ko samajhna chahiye ki hum accha amount denge toh log acche se kaam karenge.”
Meanwhile, after Saif Ali Khan was stabbed in an attempted robbery at his Bandra residence, the actor and his family are taking new measures to increase their security. Saif Ali Khan has taken new measures for increased security and has hired Ronit Roy’s agency for his protection henceforth.
Ronit Roy’s Ace Security and Protection, also known as AceSqad Security LLP will look after Saif Ali Khan’s safety. The agency has previously guarded stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan among others. As Saif Ali Khan was discharged from the Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday, Ronit Roy was seen speaking to police personnel outside Saif’s Bandra home.
The attack on Saif Ali Khan left shockwaves in Bollywood and raised concerns over actors’ safety. In another preemptive measure, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have now gotten CCTV cameras installed in their residence.
