Days after Saif Ali Khan was stabbed in an attempted robbery at his Bandra residence, the actor is getting CCTV cameras installed at home. The attack on Saif Ali Khan left shockwaves in Bollywood and raised concerns over actors’ safety. Saif Ali Khan had to undergo surgery at the Lilavati Hospital but on Tuesday, doctors finally allowed him to go home.
Amid the news of his discharge from hospital, videos have surfaced online showing CCTV cameras being installed in his posh Bandra home. Saif Ali Khan will return home today and will recuperate at home for a few days, as per doctors’ orders.
For the unversed, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an intruder at his Mumbai residence on January 16. It was reported that at around 2 AM, the actor heard noises when one of his female employees was attacked in his son, Jeh’s room. Saif intervened, leading to an altercation between the two. The attacker injured both Saif and the female employee. The Bollywood star was stabbed six times by the robber following which he was rushed to the hospital.
As per his doctors, Saif Ali Khan had two deep wounds and a piece of the knife was lodged near his spine. Saif Ali Khan had to undergo surgery to prevent spinal fluid leakage. Meanwhile, Mumbai Police had formed over 10 teams to nab the accused, with over 100 officials involved in the operation. On Sunday, they arrested the main accused in connection with the stabbing case.
The alleged accused has been identified as a 30-year-old Bangladeshi named Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, who changed his name to Vijay Das in India. Fakir was arrested from Thane, three days after the violent attack. The Bandra Court on Sunday remanded the arrested accused to five-day police custody. The court said that the demand for custody of the accused is justified as it is an early stage of investigation.
