The Railway Protection Force (RPF) seized a consignment of 22 kg of ganja from the Tata Nagar (Jharkhand)-Ernakulam Express at Arakkonam railway station on Wednesday.

The police said an RPF team was conducting a surprise check at the railway station, when they noticed two abandoned tourist bags in the general compartment of the express train. On checking them, they found 11 packets of ganja.

Arakkonam RPF has registered a case. CCTV footage has been scrutinised to nab the offenders.
