Rashmika Mandanna will soon be seen in Chhaava.

With her natural charm and doe-like eyes, Rashmika Mandanna earned the title of ‘National Crush’ soon after she ventured into films. However, in a recent chat with ETimes, the actress said that she was also everyone’s crush in her college. Rashmika now feels that she has moved on from the tag and is happy to have established a place for herself in people’s hearts.
Rashmika Mandanna said, “The National Crush title actually began with my film Kirik Party (2016). Back then, I was the crush of the whole college, which later became the Karnataka crush and eventually, the National Crush.”
She added, “Today, with all the love I am receiving, I feel I have moved on from that. Now, when people say, ‘You are the love of the nation’ or ‘You are in everyone’s hearts,’ it feels even more special. I feel like I am now rooted in their lives and hearts, and I’m just upping the game.”
Rashmika Mandanna is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie, Chhaava. Chhaava is a historical drama that revolves around the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Rashmika Mandanna will essay the role of his wife, Maharani Yesubai. At the film’s trailer launch event, Rashmika said that she was shocked when she was offered the role by director Laxman Utekar.
“It’s an honour. For a girl coming from the South to play a Maharani is the most privileged and special thing that I could ask for in this lifetime. I was just telling Laxman sir that I feel like after this, I will be happy enough to retire,” she mentioned.
Besides Rashmika, the film will feature Vicky Kaushal in the titular role. The trailer is a visual feast with intense war scenes, offering a powerful introduction to Vicky as the formidable son of the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta in key roles.
Rashmika is also shooting for Sikander with Salman Khan, and Kubera and The Girlfriend are in her kitty.
