Last fall, a routine night at the Royale Boston nightclub took a wild and unexpected turn when rapper Lil Xan got caught in the middle of a chaotic incident that would soon land him in hot water. What began as a typical live performance quickly spiralled into controversy, drawing the attention of both fans and law enforcement. Lil Xan, known for his unapologetic persona and unique sound in the hip-hop world, became the centre of a heated exchange with a concert-goer – an altercation that led to felony assault charges. It wasn’t the kind of attention the rapper was hoping for, especially with his career on the upswing and recent milestones like celebrating three years of sobriety.

During the performance mentioned, everything seemed to shift. Fans, cameras and a storm of reactions captured every moment, but the full story didn’t emerge until later, leaving many to question what really went down on stage that night.

According to TMZ, it all started when the rapper allegedly clashed with a concert-goer. Eyewitnesses claim that Lil Xan launched his microphone from the stage and then kicked the man in the head. While early reports suggested the confrontation was random and unprovoked, video footage from the night paints a different picture. In the clips, Lil Xan appears to have been flipped off by the audience member before a scuffle ensued, culminating in the artist being body-slammed on stage after delivering the kick. Following the altercation, the rapper reportedly fled the scene.

Fast forward to this week and Lil Xan sat down with TMZ, not to revisit the incident, but to share a more positive milestone, celebrating three years of sobriety. He expressed his excitement about his work with 3rd Eye Recordings, a record label backed by Universal Music Group. He credited his parents and girlfriend, Lexie, for their support during his journey, vowing that he would never let himself get caught up in something like the Boston altercation again.

“It’s a lot of great, great stuff going on right now. So, I’m just very blessed and very grateful,” he told the outlet.

However, this wasn’t Lil Xan’s first run-in with the law. In a prior incident, he was ordered to pay a hefty sum of $27,823.89 to a man named Anthony Sanchez after an argument over Tupac’s music escalated at a Los Angeles gas station. Sanchez reportedly confronted Lil Xan in 2018, upset over the rapper’s comment that Tupac’s music was “boring.”
