Aadar Jain and Alekha Advani are tying the knot this month and the Kapoor clan have gathered for their mehendi ceremony on Wednesday, February 19. Randhir Kapoor arrived with Babita Kapoor to partake in the ceremony. The veteran superstar was assisted by his staff as he made his way inside the venue.
Randhir Kapoor looked dapper in a traditional attire with a pink pocket square. On the other hand, Babita Kapoor looked elegant in a green suit and helped Randhir make his way to the venue. Watch here:
Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor fell in love with Babita when he saw her for the first time on sets of his father Raj Kapoor‘s film, Sangam. Babita was a young actress who had debuted just a few years before the two met in 1969.
Although Randhir and Babita were happy in their relationship, the actor was doing a ‘timepass’ and the actress wanted to get married. Randhir Kapoor’s parents supported their union and proposed to Babita on his behalf. However, years later, the couple started living separately as they didn’t like each other’s habits.
However, for Babita to become a Kapoor bahu, she had to quit films as the women in their household did not work. Babita, who was madly in love with Randhir, complied with this and quit acting. Randhir and Babita tied the knot on November 6, 1971. They welcomed two kids- Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. After a few years of marriage, Randhir and Babita decided to live separately. Randhir returned to live with his parents in 1988 but the two never divorced.
As for Aadar Jain and Alekha Advani, the couple got engaged in an intimate ceremony among friends and family last year. The two could be seen incredibly happy and in love with each other as Aadar put a ring on Alekha’s finger. They will reportedly tie the knot this month in Mumbai.
