
Deputy Commissioner B. Susheela has imposed prohibitory orders around centres where the II PU examination is starting on Saturday.
A total of 19 examination centres are open for the examination. Of them, six are in Yadgir taluk, five each in Shahapur and Shorapur taluks, two in Gurmitkal taluk, and one in Hunsagi taluk.
The prohibitory orders will be in force till March 20 within a radius of 200 m from the examination centres. Shops selling mobile phones, STD phone booths, photocopying shops and typing institutions located within 200 m of the centres have been directed to close down on examination days.
Meanwhile, cultural programmes or using speakers or sound systems have been banned between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. during the exam period at Balaji Kalyan Mantap which is close to an examination centre in Jawahar PU College in Yadgir.
